review 1: Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy? started off as a sweet, light read for me. While I generally read heavier (and somewhat smuttier) fare, I really enjoy a sweet love story...and anyone who knows me knows I'm a total sucker for a cowboy! This seemed right up my alley...and it absolutely was. This was a 4 star read for me until the last 50 pages or so, when it earned an extra 1/2 star and really hit its stride with the resolution of both romances and Riley's family issues. I don't want to give anything away, but Riley's little brother made me cry! All in all, a well-written and engaging read that kept me interested from start to finish. Ms. Sharpe is a new author to me, and I'll definitely be looking to read more of her work.4.5 stars
review 2: I do not know this aut
... morehor and the book was a gift: This story of two sisters drew me in and kept me reading past midnight. The plot developed into a dual romance and kept me smiling. I found myself thankful for the wonderful mother I had growing up, because Ainsley and Cecelia Fairfax have the most obnoxious, overpowering mother I have ever read about. Watching the sisters take momma’s wedding plans, for the level-headed Ainsley, is a riot, and I am so glad she escapes South Carolina and heads halfway across the country to Wyoming to take part in a dude-ranch experiment. Cowboy Riley Pommer is hesitant, yet attractive, and everything changes…for the better. Pitfalls, and snide remarks from other women keep them almost from falling for each other, but Ainsley stands up to him, her momma, and grows as a woman. Atta girl! Who Wants to Marry a Cowboy? Is a well-written contemporary romance with barn dust, sheep, and romance under a Wyoming sky. less
