review 1: A great collection of lessons gathered from CEOs that gives lots of insights on how to lead and succeed. Some of the topics this book touches upon include employee relationships, time management, the importance of feedback, how to stay mission focused, and how to create an healthy and efficient corporate culture. I find this book not only helpful to managers but also employees from the bottom who often might be frustrated with why certain top-down decisions are made. Have you ever been in meetings that seems like a waste of time? How about focusing on top 3 updates and making sure you assign an immediate action plan for a specific person for each update by the end of meeting? Did you ever feel like the communication between you and the company have always been filtered bec... moreause you always hide in that corner office? How about stepping out of that corner and make the effort to do one-on-one talks regularly with employees that are lower in the hierarchy to get direct feedback?In another words, if you work - read this book.

It has great advice from leaders in a variety of industries on what they look for in hiring and performance - and key traits that effective ones possess. It's curation of CEO knowledge over the past decade. It has some surprises and good lessons for anyone. I look forward to applying these questions when I make my next hire. less
