review 1: 2.5 to 3 starsThe storyline has potential if cleaned up a bit. Didn't see a lot of reaction first from finding out his captive is his mate and then at the prospect of having to trade mate for brother. There was a small bit of angst but clearly not devastating as portrayed. Viktor second brother ended up being the most colorful character. Neither Aiden or Devon said or did anything to 'stand out' as a character.
review 2: Sorry to say this book left me flat..didn't really have any kind of build up, tons of talking without really saying anything. I guess I read too many shifter books where if someone touches a mate they get their asses kicked, and that didn't even happen in this book. I felt no fire between the MC at all, sad to say I thought the best person in ... morethe book was the Jerk of a brother because he seemed to be the only one with a personality. less
