review 1: Great story with a wonderful realistic approach that allowed the reader to evolve with the main character and watch him overcome his struggle. It did jump a bit in the middle, but I was able to follow it to the end. Even though the ending pulled the story together in a way, it was not as realistic an approach unless of course it ended in such a way as to leave it up to the reader to think of what may have happened or if it was merely a way to quickly end it?

On the back jacket flap, there is a short, helpful Q&A with the author, some of which added important context to the books (e.g., it's a true story.) A cute story, but a little too advanced for my three year old. Nice illustrations.
