review 1: When I first started reading this book, I was a little disappointed. It wasn't like anything else I've read from Ali Cross and I didn't immediately get into it. I am very glad that I stuck it out and continued to read it, as it turned into a great story. One of the things I did not like was the different point of views every chapter. Even though the characters perspectives don't duplicate, it seemed a bit choppy and I did have to go back and reread a few pages to make sure I didn't really miss anything. Look forward to see if this becomes a series and where the story goes.
review 2: I enjoy romance stories, I love science fiction, and I've read plenty of both. What a refreshing change to read them combined, and it really worked! It's a different format than I'... morem accustomed to, telling the story from different people's point of view, so it had my interest from the beginning. I loved getting to know Sera and learning about her past and her uniqueness as if I was accompanying her on her journey to becoming a queen. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves sci-fi, or romances, or both! less
