I didn't realize this was part of a series when I bought it, let alone the third book in the series. I enjoyed the story, but I think I would have liked it better if I had read the 2 books before it as I felt like there were pieces missing. But with that said, it was a typical Karen Kingsbury story with lots of elements of faith and relationship struggles. No real surprises, but it was still worth reading. Might try to find the other 2 books and read them now.
I really liked this book the message was heart-felt and honest as Karens books usually are. I liked that this book dealt with the thought that you can't take on the things that happen in the world onto yourself. Anytime the events of Sept. 11th are dealth with it almost always brings about a heavy heart but I love that Karen continues to show that good things can come from any event even as one as horrible as the terrorists attacks.
I was drawn into the character of Alex; The author did a good job of engaging the reader.
