review 1: 5 Brilliant StarsRunaway Love, is the second book in the Brown County series. The first book "Not Alone is fantastic. I suggest to read Not Alone first or you can read Runaway Love as a standalone. I loved this book not a dull moment.Maggie and Charlie, have so much chemistry together from the first moment they meet. But having had a bad childhood Maggie finds it hard to love and be loved. You will fall in love with Maggie and Charlie's story. This is one of my most favorite series can't wait for the next book.
review 2: To a certain degree, I strongly believe in love at first sight. I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end. The book talks about a female nurse, named Maggie, who had been abused by her father in her childhood years. Her only source of
... moreprotection was a nurse at the local hospital (Brown County Mercy Hospital) and this inspired her to become a nurse in her later years of life. Her brother, Mason, seemed to be the perfect brother at first until he decided to move in with Maggie. The first lesson I took away from this is be careful who you let squat and stay with you. They never want to leave and they make your life a living nightmare. Charlie is a completely different story and I can care less about him working as a detective with the FBI. Men must learn to respect a women’s territory; including their body. A lot of times, a women’s intention is not to hurt or disregard men. Yet, childhood experiences never fade away and this shaped Maggie for the rest of her life. The front and back covers of the book were amazing. I was able to shortly grasp the main idea of this book by depicting the couple and their setting. The title “Runaway Love” gives off a small hunch of meaning. I enjoyed the acknowledgments inside of the book and the brief synopsis on the back. The author puts together a love novel full of romance and suspense. She remains on focus, as she presents small stories of interests leading to the “big picture” --- LOVE! Love is powerful and overlooks gimmicks. I enjoyed the way this book ended and my eyes took a second glimpse towards reality. It is one thing to read a novel, but it’s another thing to disposition the main character and replace it with yourself. A splendid job and exquisite piece of writing! I recommend this book for newlyweds, damaged couples, women who have been hurt by their father at a young age, and those trying to understand what “LOVE” is all about. As Passenger sings in their new song, Let Her Go, “if you love her, then you’ll let her go”, letting go can be hard and it pays to do so in the long haul. Great job overall. less

An okay romance, just a little simple for my tastes.
