review 1: This is one of my favorite books I have ever read, I read this book more than five times within a month, I just loved the book so much that I don't want to put this book down. My boyfriend recommended this book to me, and I appreciated a lot. It describes a real love story of a French couple, their happiness, conflicts, and their views on many things. Their love is a role model and I think every adult should read this book. Strongly recommend!
review 2: I am not sure what to think of this. As a letter to his love of life, it is honest and sweet, heart warming. As a book, ... But I am glad to read it, a meditation of love through a great philosopher, ought to teach me something. " We shared a world but we looked at it from different angles. Those differences... more made is rich". I am also shocked and humbled by they committed suicide together, and see the picture of them in their 80s, hugging together sweetly. There were lucky to have each other to the end! less
