review 1: I picked this up because I was enamored in the television series "Deadliest Catch" and wanted to know more stories behind the crab fisherman that I saw on the screen. At the time when I got this, there were no other books about any one else on the show, so in a way I settled for this one. After reading it, I know I didn't settle at all. This book is definitely about fishing, but even more. It is about two brothers, their family history, and the struggles of life on the sea and also on land. There is a story throughout the entire story that links it all together which definitely keeps you interested in what will happen next. This is definitely a good companion piece for anyone who loves the show.
review 2: For folks who enjoy The Deadliest Catch, this is an enjo
... moreyable read that gives you a greater insight into the life of an alaskan crab fisherman than you would have just watching the show. It jumps back and forth between Johnathan and Andy telling the story and talking about their lives as well as Johnathan getting stuck with his boat and no engine power. If you enjoy Deadliest Catch, take the time to learn a bit more about the families that make up that fleet. less

I liked this book a lot! I read the book about Phil Harris and I think this one was better.
