review 1: I enjoyed this retold version of a classic fairy tale. The author has a gift for words and writing so the story flowed and was quite poetic. I liked how it came full circle too--all the questions were answered in the end and made for a satisfying conclusion (I'm not a fan of ending on a cliffhanger to try to get me to read the next in a series). A great read for YA fantasy fans. Looking forward to more from Ann Hunter.

The premise is good, the story just needed a little more fleshing out, extending in places etc.
