review 1: Having lost my own precious boy seven years ago, I have read many, many books about love, loss and the debilitating grief that comes with losing a child. This is my favorite. Beautifully written, honest, and so familiar. There is something therapeutic about reading the words of another that so perfectly describe your own feelings. Anna nailed it. I purposely meted this book out and made it last as long as I could. It was so very well done. Kudos to you, Jack's mom.
review 2: Read an excerpt of this book on a blog a month or so before it was published. Pre-ordered it because I immediately was intrigued by the story. I have not ever experienced the loss this mother/author has, but I meet people every day that have. I am constantly amazed at their strength. Ann
... morea eloquently writes her feelings of loss, anger, loneliness, faith and courage. I recommend this book to everyone, but particularly anyone who has experienced a loss. It will fill an empty spot, and you will only feel better...even after reading about a tragedy. less
