review 1: An unusual story, Reagan and her husband are in LA for a conference and Reagan runs into an old friend who invites her to a party at a Hollywood hills mansion that evening. It seems the old friend was left 8 million dollars and had made a contribution via a silent auction and wonN the stay in the mansion which is old and neglected. LongG story short, someone is trying to kill Reagan and her friends financial advisor is bilking her of millions. But in the end the would be killer is caught as are the advisor and his accomplice. A good quick read with all the loose ends are tied up.

A. They had been on the same game show and both had lost, so they had bonded. After Regan had met and married Jack and moved to New York, Zelda had inherited eight million from a neighbor she had befriended. She had recently won the use of an estate for the weekend at a charity benefit and was having a party for her friends while there. She invites Regan to join her; since Jack will be occupied with his conference Regan agrees to come to the party.Thus begins Regan's involvement in Zelda's money problems, of which Zelda has no knowledge. Because of Regan being so much aware of her surroundings she notices a potential crime and reports it, which the criminal observes and decides he has to get rid of her before she identifies him. less
