review 1: I love paranormal mpreg stories. Love, love, love them. The blurb was stellar. The first two or three paragraphs of it. After that the story levels out into an enjoyable mid-line fluff piece. The POV changes from character to character within a scene, within a paragraph, within a thought. It made the scene breaks useless when they weren't used for a time or venue change. The characters are a little two dimensional and their monologues are often used as an info dump and there was a lot of info dumping. There were also sentences that felt like the author was leading the readers along on a leash. There are rarely cases where we need things spelled out for us in neon signs. Tell the story well enough and we can follow along without the superfluous information.I also be... morelieve there was at least one case where one of the MC's names was used for the entire scene even though it included both MC's. So someone was thinking, describing or talking about the other, but their own name was used.Overall I enjoyed the story and I've read that this is a condensed version of a longer story and I believe with a good editor and good betas, this would be immensely enjoyable.
review 2: A fluffy romance with minimal angst and a fairly predictable plot.I enjoyed the mpreg aspect and it was a cute twist to the usual mate-at-first-sight stories that I quite enjoy. The story progression was somewhat awkward and contrived. There is a tendency to explain everything in dialogue and it's weird when you confess everything to a stranger, mate-bond notwithstanding. All in all, it was a story with a lot of promise. less
