review 1: This book didn't disappoint just like the others, it was definitely a great read. This is number IV of this series and I understand that there will be a number V. THe only thing that I don't like about this author is that she leaves you very HIGH AND DRY at the end of each book, I bought the first four all at once so it wasn't to bad for me. Now I am trying to figure out when will book V come out?? Overall I like this series, very entertaining and I love the characters...:-))
review 2: Finally the Answer I’ve been Waiting For...I am glad that Ms. McGill answered my questions because I was beginning to think even she didn’t know the answers. This was the book I needed to let this die. I am not sure if I will read part V just yet and yes folks I HATE to break... more it to you there will be a part V. I can honestly say I am ready for this series to END. The run was good but I am ready for some different characters bring on “Guns n Roses”The gangs all back. We pick up with Portia and Jay the “perfect” couple is still in splitsville. Each in their own private hell. While Jay is a man of fewer emotions we see that he really loves Portia and wants her back. Jay wears his heart on his sleeve a few times had me wishing that things work out for the two. He NOW knows the grass not greener on the other side. Will he be able to win Portia back?Portia is holding it down without Jay. Portia is trying to stay afloat even though her personal life is in shambles. I saw Portia as a real woman who puts out far more than the average woman does. She was holding her head high and walking tall. Will she find it in her heart to forgive Jay after he made a mockery of their marriage?Fatimah has come to her senses and is being a great mother. While she misses Wise she manages to keep it together. Will Smoke keep his promises and her pay for the wrongs he feels she did to him? Revenge is on his mind and Fatimah is the target will he prevail?Laila and Cas are still going strong. Cas is still holding her down as she continues to get back to 100% health wise. With all that is going on in their friends’ life they are quickly becoming the power couple.I am finally glad to get to the biggest question that has haunted me for the last 2 books. Who took the guns? Now I can move on and I really wish that Ms. McGill will move on to. While she left some open ended questions I am satisfied with the answers I did receive. Honestly there was not enough if a story line left for it to be a MUST read for me. Ms. McGill is an excellent story teller and I will check out her future books as long as they hold my attention as this series did.SiStar TeaARC Book Club Inc.4 Star rating less
