review 1: Here's the thing though. If he is whipping her around abd dropping her abd diving with her, the human body can't take all that inertia and g-force..she can't be thrown around like that. It's just not correct. It's just weak. There wasn't enough plot, abd there was no conclusion. I skipped most of it. I read mostly dialogue because everything else was nonessential. Also, Kay wants to protect artigal (which I thought it was weak to steal the name) but she's just like yeah okay I'll spy on them.And the fact that there's chapters devoted to the fact that Kay is a virgin like big deal. Just annoying. I ripped a lot of pages out of this one.
review 2: This is a young adult novel from Carrie Vaughn. I love her adult werewolf series so figured i'd try it out. The chara... morecter in this are fantastic. The girl, her friends, and the dragon all develop well and you relate to them. The setting and world are fascinating as well. My biggest problems with the book was i felt it really needed to be longer. Like she was taking all this interesting stuff and squishing it in. I think much more time should have been spent on actually showing the main character and the Dragons relationship growing and their times spent together. The ending also felt a little abrupt. It sets up for a sequel nicely but at the same time felt like a one shot. I wanted to really know more about where they end up. So in conclusion definitely worth reading especially if you are into young adult urban fantasy, but it will be a quick read. If she writes a sequel I'd be pleased cause there are still lots i want to know about this world she created. less
