review 1: I picked up this book randomly at the library the other day, and I loved it!I'm not a widow, nor have I been married, but I loved (in a weird way that you can love a story about a widow) reading about her story through widowhood. This was my second true widow story I've read (the first was 'Signs of Life' by Natalie Taylor-very good read as well), and it was similar in some ways, but different in others. I loved her voice, reading this was like hearing a friend just talk to you about her life. The book was funny a lot, sad a lot, and made me feel good after I've read it.
review 2: Catherine Tidd is only 31 when her husband is involved in a motorbike accident on his way to work. Left a widow with three young children, we follow her journey as she has to organ
... moreise his funeral and carry on with a new life. I always like a good memoir, it gives you a few life lessons along the way and even though I am not married myself I can appreciate how awful this experience is for Catherine and laugh along with her at the absurd things she encounters. Realising that she has written his birthday incorrectly on the large rock used as a headstone did make me smile, as it is easier when you are grieving to make mistakes. Catherine started off as a blogger, and I do admire her writing skills as she managed to make me enjoy this story of her life. less

I really felt for her going through this and life not turning out what she expected it to be.
