review 1: very nice one !!entertaining n an easy read. i have to emphasize that i liked every part abt the story. der was no moment dat i disliked intensely which usually happens wid the other books.. but it was still only a 3 star. what i mean is dat it was still only a 3 star while i did not detest any part of the book..when on the other hand, books i detested some parts got above 3 star. der was so much pain in their past but i was not affected..which shows i was not enchanted or attached. is it only me !?
review 2: I'm in a bad mood so I'll refrain from unjustly slaughtering this book. I gave it a 3 star, which was probably way more than it deserved. Throughout the novel, you get the impression that the author was a college Sophomore snarkily trying her hand at roman... morece writing, and you could almost see her ticking off items on her "Chicken Soup for the Lady-Parts Soul" checklist: H and h meet, improbable situation,H forces h to stay in house with him, h is a wimp and doesn't know about the existence of an embassy and a G--damn ATM machine (!), H leaves job because of some decent sex,fast forward to the end where she has a teary confession, HEA + cue Music from the days of our Lives. And as for the "Big Teary Confession", though major props to the author for coming up with something new, it was still kinda lame. It felt inauthentic, like she reached in a box and pulled pout a piece of paper. Do better HQ authors, do better.Oh, and when will romance novels get it right about Birth Control/STDs? For the last time "hey babe, I slipped up and didn't use a condom" though they are total stranger is not-I repeat NOT-sexy in the least. Whenever someone says something like that I immediately picture one of those skeevy jersey Shore fuckers, and immediately get cold shivers. Matter of fact, maybe the heroines should too, cause that's apparently what it's gonna take for them to start giving a fuck about their health. less
