review 1: In Chris Lynches book I pledge allegiance Morris friend get's drafted so all of his friends Rudi,Beck and Ivan enlist in the military but they all go to different branches. Morris makes it his personal mission to keep his friends safe and the best place he can do it is in the Navy but the USS Boston is not itself out of danger. Will Morris be able to keep his promise and get all his friends back home. I rate this book 9/10
review 2: Told from the viewpoint of Morris who joins the Navy when one of his friends is drafted. The 4 best friends made a pact that if one was drafted, they would all enlist. The teens are from Roslindale; so Boston area readers will enjoy the local places referenced (Anthony's Pier 4, Roslindale Square). I thought the battle scenes we... morere hard to read, but this was a page turner for me. Quick read at 183 pages, but I am not sure if I will jump on to the next title in this series. less
