review 1: YOU SHALL LOVE THIS BOOK IF YOU LOVE QUALITY LITERATURE:This book has an amazing story line. I have read it and appreciate the command over language of the author. Christy is a mature author. She has followed the great tradition of E.M. Foster while developing the characters. Foster had said that there should be 'Flat' and 'Round' characters. She has done it and this is what make the story alive and interesting. The book has a beautiful beginning, a well constructed Middle and an Imaginative End. This book presents a loving female character in the lead role, who becomes a part and parcel of readers personality. The characterization is superb. Nowhere the story is boring. It keeps you engaged. Believe me if you start this book you cannot leave it in the middle. Because if y... moreou do it...you shall feel that there is a void in life. I recommend if to all my friends and enemies---as a must read.A NOTE FOR SPOILERS: I am hurt to note that some jealous people with ulterior motives are trying to spoil the name and fame of the innocent writer. I know this book has spoiled the market of cheap literature. There comments are inappropriate and just out of causing harm to the writer. It is unfortunate that these people are spoiling the healthy literary atmosphere on Goodreads.
review 2: First I just have to say I love this cover. I don't normally comment of covers but this one is so simple that it is eye catching and I just love it. Now on to the story. I loved it! I loved the characters and the story. Laney was a great character. I admit that at first I didn't like her because I thought she was going to be a weak woman that I just wouldn't like. Then as the story went on I realized that she wasn't bad at all and I loved her. She loves her children with all her heart. She even still cares for her asshat of a husband that is beyond cruel. I have struggled with weight issuses all my life (seriously I was born at 10 pounds) so I completely understood her thoughts. Then she starts work and meets Chance. He is so sweet and caring and super sexy. I mean a doctor with tattoos and rides a motorcycle, there is just something HOT about that. Without giving to much away it is just a great story. Now I will say that there were some grammar errors and and a place or two where it jumped ahead in time and I thought maybe I missed a few sentences or something but it wasn't so bad that it bothered me. I think the story and message that it brings was a lot more important than the mistakes and the time jump was ok because more would have just been boring fillers. So overall it was fantastic and I loved it and I would reread it because it really is a sweet story and I can't wait for more. The ending of Forbidden Forever made me want to hunt Christy down and force her to tell me what will happen next. This is also a debut novel and I think that Christy has done a fantastic job and will only grow in her writing. Looking forward to more works from her. less
