review 1: Overall I really enjoyed reading about the lives of Condoleeza and her parents. The early years were particularly interesting and I found myself a little bored at the end as she talked more about current events. Although I think it's impossible to write an autobiography without sounding "braggy" at times, on a whole I thought she did a good job. And really, she is pretty amazing, so how can you not brag...the facts are the facts.
review 2: Dr. Rice is one of the most amazing women in the history of our country. This book is a wonderful insight of her childhood and life before Washington. She is a great example of how faith and values instilled by caring parents can create a foundation of a determined, intelligent, and accountable woman, among other great quali... moreties. I have always considered Dr. Rice a role model in my life and I feel extremely blessed to have spent time with her. less
