review 1: I was hoping to laugh my way through this one, but it was only mildly amusing at best. This comic is cliched, full of worn out scenarios of teen drama. Mucha's main character, Annie, is insecure, moody, and self absorbed, and the supporting cast is just as vapid. Did I have a crush on a senior boy when I was a freshman? Sure. Did I succumb to peer pressure a time or two? Of course. I just wish these tales of the 9th grade were more entertaining and offered some sort of take away other than, "the freshman experience" is awkward.
review 2: Annie is just starting her freshman year of high school and thanks to her older brother's words of wisdom is utterly terrified of "messing up". According to her brother, the choices you make and things you do in your freshma
... moren year strongly determine the outcome of the rest of your life. No pressure there! Annie is awful at sports, jealous of just about everyone and has developed a huge crush on a new friend's older brother --- so far, things aren't looking too great! This story is a great one to share with teens about to embark on this rite-of-passage and will be greatly appreciated by anyone who's ever been there. less

So cliche and funny in the sense that it was pretty overdramatic!
