review 1: I really need to stop reading books on planes... especially this book. This book had so many "I didn't know anyone one else felt/thought that way" aha moments. And not in a "that's neat" kind of way but in a "oh my G-d, maybe I'm not crazy/stupid/doomed if there are other people in the world with the same thoughts and feelings as me and said people are successful, funny and clearly awesome". There were times when it felt as though I was reading my very own thoughts, word for word. I didn't know if I should find Danny Evans so I could yell "get out of my head" or so I could give the man a hug and tell him "thank you". Thank you for sharing and expressing what so many people feel and fear and for making them feel like they're not alone. Great read.
review 2:... more> I thought it was a "sometimes laugh out loud" funny and HONEST account of what it's like to realize you're suffering from depression as well as the journey to get well. Like his writing style and feel like it was a good read. Although I'm female, I thought it was interesting for a man to tell it from his perspective, especially since they're more likely to suffer in silence or even not admit that they are sick. Really enjoy Danny Evans' blog too! less

An interesting read for sure. Not the best writing style, a bit heavy on the methaphors.

It also takes balls to write about it as candidly and capably as Danny has.
