review 1: Alex is running for her life. A rare white panther, her value to her family lies more with political alliances and monetary gain. Before she is to be auctioned off to the highest bidder, she runs to the new Queen seeking refuge. She wants to be able to choose her own mate! But the Queen is on her honeymoon, and the only help Alex can find comes in the form of a wolf shifter named Clint. Clint is happily minding his own somewhat reclusive business when the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen faints from fear and exhaustion at his feet. After hearing her story, his chivalrous nature and lusty desire convince him to take Alex to his childhood home to keep her safe from those chasing her, intent on locking her in a gilded cage.What started as a great new paranormal romance... more fell short on both world building and character development. Alex and Clint's meeting and their first blush of attraction was nice. But the story moved very quickly and had so much information and action in it that the details didn't have time to be explained. There were moments that could have been drawn out and slowed down so that both the characters and the readers could take a much needed pause to reflect on the story and where it was headed. Instead, each new circumstance felt a little rushed and incomplete, with too much story packed into a novella length book. Lengthening it a bit in order to add a little more focus on the daily lives, desires, and ambitions of the characters and shifter clans would make this story much more relatable and very enjoyable.
review 2: I gave it a 4star partly because of the spelling errors tho I know it's not the Authors fault but it did kinda take away from the read. I liked this second story with twists and turns I hope that we get another book in the series! I like the idea of where the line is going. I read on my app on my phone and one day after my lunch break I had my girl friends at work read a few passages and well they where blushing & fanning them selfs ;) I'm thinking a few husbands got lucky that night ;) less
