review 1: The gypsy connection was intriguing. I was absolutely fascinated with the pendant history and destiny. Loved this book and have THE DUKE as well as THE EARL in line to read soon! I must admit, at times I struggle with titles and ranking in historical novels, but Denise made her characters so distinctive, I didn't have my usual difficulty keeping characters straight. Well done. Count me in...I'm a huge Denise Patrick fan.
review 2: I got this, because it was FREE on my Kindle. The main reason it has 4 stars instead of 5 is that it started off a bit clunky. Once you get past the first several chapters, it seems to find its stride. Predictable? Maybe, but it was an enjoyable ride all the same. It was an enjoyable romance and the characters (at least the main... more ones) were likeable and entertaining. Not bad for a free book.So not bad that I went ahead and purchased the other two in the series. (Which were only around $4.40 each.) less
