review 1: 3.5 Stars I really love a good rocker romance novel. Jax and Eve were a couple that I was immediately drawn to. Their relationship was filled with plenty of personal demons they had to overcome, and outside influences that threatened to tear them apart. But, they overcame the odds and I loved reading about their journey to do so. Now, those were the pros. Here are the cons with this book. The dialogue is oversimplified to the point of being redundant. While I understood that Jax was a man of few words, he only seemed able to spout out four at a time. I struggled to overlook this in order to enjoy the read, but at times it was impossible and I found myself skimming past several pages. This book is also in dire need of editing. If it were polished it would easily have been a... more five star read for me, which is why I was so disappointed in the lack of fine tuning. I really do love this authors writing style and I will read the rest of this series. I would still recommend this to rock romance lovers...that's how great a potential read this is. I hope it gets some much needed revisions as I would love to read it again and be able to turn the pages without frustration.
review 2: Wow - lots going on in this one. Eve and Jax get right to it and the twists and turns keep on coming. Good characters (the supporting ones too) even though I think Jax could have been expanded on a little. Interesting choice for the heroine's weakness/illness. Great insight into this disease. I have heard of and know someone with this particular disease but this book gave me more knowledge and understading of it. Overall a good LONG read. less
