review 1: Not exactly what I expected. Certainly more about the author than his son. We really don't get a sense of Damon's thoughts and feelings, nor his struggle with CHD. I didn't feel it was well-written, until the last part of the book. If only he had written with the same style the whole book... A somewhat tedious read at times, and often left me wanting more. More detail, more information, just...more.

I LOVED this book-- beautifully written, gripping. An ode to the parent/child relationship.
