review 1: This is one of the best books I have read in a while. It shows the hardships on Southside of Chicago as a young boy. The start from humbled beginnings, gave him the necessary tools to stay grounded when he became a NBA superstar. Then he shows that everything that glitter isn't gold with his marriage. The nasty divorce was blown up in the media, putting his two sons in the middle of it. Being awarded full custody was the best thing that happened him.(Stated Dwayne Wade) All in all just the shear perseverance of an individual is very intriguing.
review 2: This is a great story of d-wades childhood and being a father. Wade connected the dots very well on this book he told the stories of his childhood and made connections to his experience of being a father to
... morehis kids. He told very interesting stories of his childhood and how everything that happened to him growing up has made him who he is today. One other thing that I liked is that you can tell that wade wasn't put into the best situations growing up or he wasn't the most fortunate kid but as he reflected he was so grateful for everything that happened to him for better or for worst. I really respect D-Wade even more after this book and I think that it was a great read. less
