review 1: Glad I got this as a freebie - Extreme case of insta-loveId normally rate this a 2/2.5 star read, but it was generously offered as a freebie so I bumped it up a little. I did not enjoy the hero or heroine in this book. The hero was just a demanding womanizer, until of course he finds his mate, then all of a sudden, it’s turned into one of the worst cases of insta-love I've ever read. The heroine was weak. All she seemed to do was giggle, cry, apologize and thank people. I didn’t care for her at all. The sex was pretty hot, but the characters just seemed so one dimensional. No depth whatsoever. The plot was pretty lame as well and very easily predictable. Needless to say, not a series I will continue.
review 2: I loved the characters, Cain & Carly. C... moreain, started out a little less desirable but he soon saw the error of his ways. Carly, has always been the one that everyone turns to in their time of need even when she at times suffered as much as the people she'd helped. When she met her mate she was devastated by the circumstances of their meeting and she runs. Her mate desperate to find his one true mate drops everything to find her. With no name and only the towns name he goes a little bear crazy and has a few altercations along the way. Eventually they find each other. They have a few hiccups along the way but they soon work everything out and they accept each other as mates. When Carly disappears Cain is beyond angry and he can feel her fear and distress which makes him tetchy. He goes in search of the culprit to get his woman back! Now looking forward to the next book in this series! less
