review 1: A broken girl, Ava meets and falls in love with the perfect guy, Seth. Too good to be true? Well yes it sure is, but probably not in the way in which you would expect, or I certainly didn't expect it. A stalker/murderer is on the lose but is only after one girl. But again it is much more complex than even that. The interweaving links in this story are fantastic, author Emily R Pearson does a brilliant job of keeping the excitement going all the way from beginning to end. I loved the relationships between Ava and her friend and also with the detective. Well done on a gripping storyline!

It has be... moreen 6 years since the night that forever changed her life and she is in a new town with a new identity. Her best friend, Carissa, talks her into a night out drinking and dancing. At the bar, after several drinks, Ava meets a hot guy named Seth. Even though there is an instant physical attraction between Seth and Ava, he is respectful enough to not take advantage of Ava in her intoxicated state. The next day, Seth calls Ava for a date which she accepts. Seth and Ava's relationship grows fairly quickly but he seems to be exactly what she needs. However, Ava's past is coming back to haunt her. Ava isn't sure she is strong enough to endure anything like what she has already survived. She is also hesitant to divulge her secret to Seth with their relationship being so new. Seth wants to be there for Ava and be the protector she needs. Will Seth be able to keep Ava safe from the dangerous predator that awaits her? And even though it seems that fate has brought them together, when all of the past is uncovered, will Seth and Ava be able to stay together?I really enjoyed this book! From beginning to end, it kept my interest with not only the love story between Ava and Seth but the suspense of what was going to happen next when Ava's past comes calling. I loved the flirty banter between Ava and Seth, especially during the early days of their relationship. This book does end with a bit of a cliffhanger and I am definitely eager to read the next book in this series! I would recommend this book to others! less
