review 1: Oh my God! I loved this book!!! Hot! Hot! Hot! Wow!I really really liked the first book, and I didn't think I could like this more, but I did! I started this book thinking about reading just a bit and then resume my reading after the weekend, but I couldn't put it down! As I said for "Demon Envy", Addictive!!! Totally! And although I was so, so sorry for Adam (I liked him immensely! Scratch that, I loved him!), I felt myself melt and burn for Kenzie and Levi kissing! It was nothing like when she kissed Adam. When she kissed Adam it was cute and sweet and all, but there wasn't that "Oh-my-God-I'm-going-crazy" feeling and the butterflies in my stomach. There was that and much more when Kenzie and Levi kissed. Every each time. I was like "Wow!!!"I didn't like Iz at all. Didn't... more like her behaviour and how she treated Kenzie. That's so not supposed to happen between best friends. And what about that thing about the dude in the mirror?? Oh, now that I think of it, wasn't it Otis maybe??? Hmmm...possible... The ending was amazing and made me happy, but seeing that there isn't supposed to be an sequel apparently, I'm confused as how I feel about it. Part of me is happy, thinking "Yay, a happy-ever-after ending without other chicks or guys getting in their way, trying to steal one or the other!!!", but also, the other part of me is thinking "What?! And the other portals? I want to read more! Just 2 books? That is? Aww, I'm so disappointed!"Anyways, you absolutely have to read this book! You totally have to read both books! They're amazing! I'm giving 4 stars like for the first book, (even though I said I liked this more) because of the uncertain ending. It leaves you with a bittersweet taste in your mouth.
review 2: Blurb from book...Guys can be annoying, but the demonic kind are the worst…That is how Kenzie Sutcliffe felt about Levi. He shot out of Kenzie’s shower, a.k.a. the demon hole, not too long ago. It was hard for Kenzie to close the portal—it involved her driving the family’s minivan into the kitchen. And what thanks does she get for that? She’s grounded, not allowed to drive, and getting chauffeured around by a demon whose driver’s license is dubious at best. Plus, the demon tells her, when one portal closes—another one opens…Even though Levi can be a pain, Kenzie just can’t let the other demons drag him back to hell. Guess that means it’s up to her to save the day…again! Another adorable mini chick lit paranormal read from Erin McCarthy. Kenzie pulls off another save in the second book in the Demon series. I like the characters and witty dialogue. It is amazing how the author can develop the story in such a small space. less
