review 1: Another great read - I just wished it was longer!!The lead character is a cheeky chap who seems to have a lot of unfinished or unsolved things from his past (which creates a nice mystery about him) and yet he still manages to stay in the here and now.His job in this book is too discover if an item from a previous war is still in the possession of the undead (vampires in this case - not the twilight kind though :) ) so that it can be returned to the rightful people...or trolls in this case. You will love this book with it's clever plots and great wit!!
review 2: What an amazing little gem! Mr. Tuttle managed to create complex, quirky, intriguing characters in a short novella that also conveyed a fast-paced, humourous, enjoyable tale of a quest that was a little
... moredifferent from the usual epic fantasy. The Misters were priceless...I loved them! And, the main character, Markhat, reminded me a lot of Harry Dresden with his snarky, wise-cracking humour and the noir detective feel of his profession. Mama Hog was also an intriguing character. I hope we see more of her in the subsequent books. This was a quick, fun read, and I will definitely treat myself to more of the Markhat Files in the near future. less

Fun! Maybe a 3.5 rather than just a 3. Adequate world building for the length, funny.
