review 1: My son read this and then recommended it to me. He isn't a huge reader, but when he really likes a book, it is usually one I like as well. This is the harrowing, yet inspirational story of Genelle Guzman-McMillan who was the last 9/11 survivor found buried in the rubble of the World Trade Center. How she survived being buried alive for 27 hours and was eventually found and rescued is truly miraculous. Interesting and inspirational reading.
review 2: The beginning and middle of this book are good, making you once again feel the horror of September 11 and told through the eyes of one of the survivors. ... moret part of the book where Genelle urges you to be happy and make changes etc. There are sad moments, especially when her family think she died, and when she talks about Susan and Roza. I've read quite a few accounts of September 11, and this is one of the best, because it really shows the confusion of the day, and seems heartfelt and well written. I don't know why I agonize myself by reading true, sad books, but I do, and if you do too, you'll probably like this one. Four stars. less
