review 1: First of all let’s state that the picture prompt for this story is cute and hot enough to make you consider a foot fetish even if you don’t have one. Cole is at his friend Eli’s beach house for some needed quiet time and relaxation away from his busy bakery. Michael, also a friend of Eli, is at the beach house because he has a project meeting nearby and can stay there. The two meet on the beach (after Cole has a completely adorable horizontal dance session by himself) and the first thing Cole sees is the man’s hot, sexy feet. Cole has a thing, you see. Michael notices the look but doesn’t comment. The two become friends, sharing details about their lives (while Cole reminds himself “Don’t look down. Don’t look down.” Cole has had a bad time of it w... moreith his family (and you want to just slap them all) and he’s also had a bad time of it once dates figure out what his fetish is. Makes him a little fearful of rejection. When Cole gets brave and lets Michael in on his little fetish, it was sweet and lovely how Michael responds. The two spend the week together and both feel there just might be something there. I loved the way Cole was with people, especially Zack at the bakery. And his reason for his huge couch. Awesome. Michael’s way of making Cole feel better, even more awesome. I do wish we got to know more of what happened in the months they were apart. That would have added to the relationship aspect. I loved Eli and would be oh so happy if he got his own story…
review 2: The pov changes are driving me crazy! Especially when I have to reread paragraphs to get who's pov it is. 8% them swimming in the ocean was adorably cute and made me laugh out loud. 13% eh talking on phone with Ang and there is a random flashback to when he's also talking to Ang. A little jarring IMO and pulled me out of the story. It came out like a conversation with a flashback conversation with a flash forward to finish current conversation. Not a fan of flashbacks anyway I think this one would have been better if it happened before or after the phone call, not during it. 14% his corny t-shirt is so funny and cute19% fantasy/masterbation scene :(. I hate those they always seem so pointless too me27% when he asks him on a date ... Just adorable 55% I don't see why they couldn't see each other during those three months. They both seem to own their own business. They seem to have money. Why couldn't they both take at least one long weekend a month and be together? Or even take a normal weekend to meet up? And what actually happened during these three months skipped? This gap really pulled me out of the story and has me wondering about a lot of loose ends Too much sex for me. When it has a sex scene then skips three months to have another sex scene I got bored. I put the book down and read something else. Came back to finishing skimming the sex and then they have dinner which I also found boring. Maybe I'm still annoyed t the change of pace with the skipped time and sex. I the how it skips all of the getting to know each other just to have sex. Especially when it makes no sense that they didn't just see each other over the three months. Then they are in the couch and it's a random flashback to part of the skipped three months. But it was so unclearly transitioned I had to read it twice before I realized it was. Flashback and then after a third time it was still confusing. Then the timeline is impossible to follow. It skips days and weeks and months and get little flash back paragraphs of tiny details that happened in that time. After the first time jump I never really got back in the story. It seemed really mundane with nothing happening. Then towards the end everything is feeling really rushed but there is time for another really long sex scene. Both characters were cute and like able. But I always felt at a distance from them and with the rough time jumps and confusing povs and mini flashbacks it was hard to enjoy it. Still some cute scenes. Enjoyable characters though almost all of their development and the relationship happened off the page. We see the first meeting which I really liked but then it was like it was just random jumps to have sex. And what a shitty and douchy birthday gift. Seriously. That's something he should have just given him and talked about. Not call it a birthday gift and give it to him on his bday. It's a cute free story that imo just needed some kinks worked out and I would have liked at least two of the sex scenes to be off page and have more story on the page. less

Sweet story with likeable characters and a kink not often explored in M/M.
