review 1: I have only read one or two of Melton's momastery.com blog posts, so the vast majority of this book was new material for me. Melton is a good casual-voice-writer. She raised some interesting points to ponder surrounding parenting and spirituality (Christianity specifically, but it can be related to other religions too). I laughed out loud at some of her lighter-hearted essays about parenting, especially the one about the police officer at Target!
review 2: So enjoyed this book! Love her way of thinking and loving and making you laugh. She is so different from me and has had a very different life but I could still identify with so much of what she writes about. Wish I could have read her when the kids were younger, but I would recommend this even if you kids... more are grown or you have none. Book is also under Carry on Warrior: Notes on life Unarmed. They changed the title when it went to paperback. less
