review 1: I'm a Science Fiction fan and I really liked the world she created. I would love to see more of it and a continuation with Tilbarr and Kyrus looking for the other Mages and meeting up with old friends (and enemies).I loved when the two first met - great dialog from Tilbarr and great emotion from Kyrus since he was blinded and could only wonder about this man he obviously was attracted to without seeing. I hated Falland and thought Tilbarr forgave him somewhat quickly when he had just wanted to kill him then he was like okay, this guy is fine but I suppose the fact that Falland shared that Kyrus was alive and that kind of changed those feelings. The moment when Tilbarr was shot and Kyrus couldn't get to him was really tense. Would Tilbarr die and Kyrus would end up dyin... moreg too somehow so they could be together elsewhere - or would he get to his love and heal him in time. The admission from Slydane towards his captain was a bit of a surprise but that whole confrontation worked well. I felt sorry for Slydane but it does seem he found his honey - whether he's his true love or not you never know.All in all I will definitely read this again to see what I missed the first time around. I do hope there is a sequel in the future!
review 2: This was a great story. I loved it. Very fun sci fi and there is a great bonus at the end when you read the Terms and Definitions. Truly a part of the whole story. Brilliant! The use of all those sci fi terms never really threw me at all but to have them "defined" at the end was just awesome. Almost like the author looked them up on the internet or something. I can't wait to read more and I really hope the author brings back these two as well. less
