I laughed aloud - several times. I frequently chuckled and smirked, yet also felt a lump in my throat and an odd stinging in my eyes. Then it happened… an ugly cry, which is rare for me as I am an admittedly jaded and cynical shrew. Imagine my shock and horror… but so worth it! If you enjoy smart, wickedly funny, and cleverly sarcastic humor laced with sensual love scenes that will have you gasping and later cleaning the upholstery - then this is the book for you. Ms. Ayers is my new favorite. Excuse me while I go one-click her entire listing, my furniture needs new upholstery anyway.
review 2: Truly wow. As I've said before I NEED to be an honorary GEG. I've made my cape, I have the crazy mouth and having these ladies in my life would be perfect. Cici is a tough nut. That hard shell holds the most tender heart imaginable. Her past made her doubt anyone that tried to get close to her. She even hid from her GEG's. KYLE!Kyle is a determined man-the closer- but even he has his crap moments. He doubts if Cici will ever be truly in it with him. Love that his mom is his BFF. And major kudos for his innate ability to hang with and even best the GEG's!The push and pull was insane. Cici's imagination...hilarious! Kyle's dirty mouth...damn!Have I mentioned that I adore Kyle and Cici? Any and all communication was brilliant.The letter-sobs! The meeting-more sobs! The sneaky hints about the future from JA- frustrated sobs!Whether fighting, loving, texting or any combo of the above their story was divine. Kegels are necessary. The LOL hold your pee moments, the hot and squirmy moments and everything in between.Even with the serious subject matter JA writes an engaging story with light moments full of hope, family, laughter and love. less
