review 1: The beginning of this book is frustrating as the reader you definitely feel the confusion the main female lead goes through and after finishing the last book it leaves you anxious with their mission that is declared. As the story progresses and slowly I might add it gets very consuming in the middle and the end with all the pieces fitting together into an exciting series you know it's going to be. As the characters in this book struggle to piece together the missing pieces of memories lost to the main lead, the journey of re-discovering oneself is much need to understand why and how the characters are going to be connected to each other. I admire how the female lead grows into the fiercer leader she is to become, not wanting to run and hide from the dangers that lays ahead... more for her loved ones. The supporting characters were encouraging in their own rights it will be good to read more about their personalities and roles in this series.
review 2: I've been trying to read this book for two weeks, which is highly unusual for me because I usually read books in a few days. I made it to the 75% mark today and I just gave up. The book started out pretty good. There was a lot of mystery, unanswered secrets, and interesting characters but absolutely nothing happens in this book. I was so bored. All the characters talk about is how they need the heroine's memory to resurface. By 75%,I still hadn't learned much abut the heroine's past nor had the heroines memories revealed much of anything. I really tried to finish, hoping something good was gonna happen, since this book had pretty high ratings but my brain can't take it anymore. Another DNF. less
