review 1: On the upside, this book was a quick read, and a couple lists did have me rolling with laughter. Overall, though, I was disappointed. Half the lists were simply amusing, and the other half left me just sitting there thinking, "Uh... Ok..." Maybe it's because I'm a mom reading a book by a dad. Or maybe it's the city vs country. (He's never seen a woman mowing or using a grill and finds the thought comical?! What?!) Either way, something was off, and I found myself finishing the book just because I had started it, not because I enjoyed it.
review 2: ‘This Is Ridiculous This Is Amazing’ written by Jason Good is a book with which you will laugh till you cry, and it will especially be appreciated by those who already have children, because with so many th... moreings that this brilliant author writes about in a very humorous way you will be so familiar.Good manages to faithfully picture the first years of parenthood, surviving the earliest days of living with your kid, showing that though it sometimes seems as most difficult job on planet, in same time it’s most entertaining and insanely laughing activity you can imagine being part of.Though this is my first encounter with this author and I didn’t read his blogs, Good seems like a good partner and caring father with a great sense of humor; providing numerous tips and tricks to go through the days when you are parent of young kid such as those that will provide you an opportunity to rest for a while when kids are near or how to travel with young children, it’s obvious he has lot of experience, but more importantly because of his cheerful approach his kids certainly adores him.Therefore all the recommendations to ‘This Is Ridiculous This Is Amazing’, a fantastic book that besides providing lot of fun and laugh, using it will surely enable you to learn many things if you're a young parent. less
