review 1: I like the passage where the main character reflects about how "she deserved to be stuck in romance limbo. She didn't have the guts to pull up her pants and make a real decision" because it pretty much sums the whole book up. Didn't like how the so-called loveable townsfolk blamed her for the actions of her ex, we're all adults here and should be held responsible for our own actions!Minus 25 points for use of the word "temptationalicious". No. Just, no. Plus ten points for the use of "Ill-mannered yahoo" and "jolly good rogering". Conflicted feelings on the use of "Hummuna" and "buttinsky". Are these terms widely used and I'm just in the dark here???
review 2: Thank goodness it was free!To be fair, the writing was edited well, and the comedic inputs were nice.
... moreThere was a lot of potential... After reading half of the book, I began to skip paragraphs just to get to the "predictable" ending. I don't think the writer knew which way to go with the story. We are made to truly dislike Oz through at least the first half of the book. Then there's charming, and successful, Nash who is the good guy. It appeared as if the author went back into the story to add negative bits where she could. The heroine is beyond frustrating...and I really never got to the point of liking her.My question is, who are we supposed to root for?? Clearly there is no couple worth rooting for in this book. This book left me feeling frustrated. less
