review 1: Ugh. This is written by the type of teacher who gives teachers a bad name. In an attempt to be humorous "Mrs. Mimi" has failed miserably and instead delivered a continuous diatribe of rants and complaints about seemingly everything involved with the teaching profession: the administration, field trips, parents, lack of support, her co-workers, and even her students. Granted there are a lot of problem with our education system but there is never a break, no moments of the rewarding aspects of teaching. I feel sorry for her unfortunate students. It is not the least bit witty or even cleverly sarcastic nor does her blog writing style transfer well into book form.

Mrs. Mimi is funny, but it gets repetitive, especially toward the end. It's a good read for teachers, but I don't know that non-teachers will find it as entertaining or interesting. less
