review 1: Love the concept of the "art of creating order." I don't really believe that the pictures show what the studios REALLY look like, but I enjoyed seeing the variety of choices for dealing with creative clutter. The author of the Art of Procrastination wrote a chapter about "horizontal filing" where papers, books, etc are all laid out where he can see them. It creates such visual clutter. Most of the featured artists wrote about needing to see what they have.
review 2: A beautiful book with full-color photography of many artists' creating spaces and organizing systems. I spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon viewing and reading it. I appreciated the number of organizing systems shared and the lack of an overarching system all must embrace. I feel inspired to play ... morewith my creating supplies to determine where they should live to best serve my artistic pursuits. less
