review 1: What happens when a driven and completely plugged in woman gets bamboozled into spending Christmas weekend unplugged? Matt happens. He is handsome, woods wise, and interested in Casey. He also has a life outside of the lodge that he isn't talking about. Can Casey and Matt make things work? The book answers all these questions and more.My biggest complaint is that the last 15% of the e-book was excerpts from 2 other novels of the writer's. I felt a little cheated that a story I was enjoying wasn't as long as I expected it to be.
review 2: This book could have had a higher rating, but it fell short at the end, like so many novellas do. I liked the characters, I liked the plot, I didn't like the ending. The ending felt unresolved. Quick conversations always leav
... moree me feeling like the story isn't over. At the very least a novella should have an epilogue, a glimpse without all the details to fill the space, if the objective is to keep the story short. Otherwise, it ends as though the author got bored, or didn't know how to show the characters interacting in the real world, and that's how this story left me feeling. less
