review 1: If you are looking for a book that's all about bravery and kindness, this is definitely it.The little mouse in this story is having a big snowy adventure, but also learns a lesson about caring about others.The illustrations are fun and full of details to explore.I feel kind of bad, though, that I am enjoying a story where the cat is the bad guy ... my adorable little kitty would never behave like that!
review 2: It's a snow day for the kids. They get to stay home and bake cookies with Mom. This means crumbs on the floor for Mouse. But when he goes after a dropped gumdrop the family cat takes notice, and so does Mom. Cat, Mouse and gumdrop are all swept out the front door. Mouse can't find his gumdrop, but there's so much else to do! There's a mouse-sized ice-ri... morenk and a mouse-size hill for sledding! And through it all that darn cat id ready to pounce!Not to worry. Mouse makes it safely back to the warm house.Not great. Would not recommend for read-aloud. Story is choppy and doesn't flow well. less
