review 1: HOW OLD IS THIS AUTHOR? Seriously, reading through this (thank god it was short), which I had to force myself in the hopes that this book could be redeemed, I kept asking myself how old this author is.This book reads like a 13-year-old girl's fantasy. It would be more appropriate to have made Annabelle 13 when she lost her virginity to Tristan, instead of 16, 19 or however old she was. Only that would be illegal. But, that's the juvenile mindset of this book.Tristan was young so you can almost forgive him for his stupid behavior. But now he's in his 30s and a killer businessman (appparently) so you really need an explanation for his continued stupidity. The continued blaming on Annabelle for his fractured relationship with Wade and his grandfather is just too stupid. ... moreHis inability to recognize what Annabelle means to him throughout 10 long years is ridiculous. Acceptable for an 18-year old or even someone in his early 20s. But, he's supposed to be brilliant and he's now in his 30s. His behavior towards his fiancee is also really juvenile. And I thought I was back in middle school when he met Annabelle again and started picking on her and stalking her because he was too stupid to use his words and tell her he liked her. Then there's Annabelle who is also just too stupid to live. As well as everyone else in her village, apparently. The stupid lies she tells about her gay friend, running away, the choices she makes. And we're supposed to believe that she has managed to raise a child on her own? Please. Social services should have stepped in rather than to let two such stupid people raise a child.
review 2: An Unbreakable Bond...The title perfectly fits the backdrop of the novel...it goes through the stages of showing two lovers separated long before....and were brought together after a long time because of their unbreakable bond...The story has a steady pace with definitely strong characters...This is not the average story of a boy wooing girl..and then they get separated because of differences...nope. Absolutely not. What really gave depth to story was the introduction of Anabelle's daughter...April.That brought the story close on a whole lot different level...For a change....there was no character in the story who didn't fit the scene and I didn't like...I loved Wade and Katie and April....just everyone...A well deserved 3.5 stars... less
