review 1: I saw the cover and title for this and my first reaction was "Eh? Yuck!" But then I read the back and decided to give it a try anyway. I'm glad I did because I ended up really enjoying it. I think the thing I liked most about this book was the art. It's definitely got a different style than a lot of other shojo- it'n not all frilly and frothy and flowery. Some of the faces drawn on the characters are downright hilarious. I was up at 12 last night laughing my head off because of some of their expressions. As for the story, nothing really new there. It pretty much a typical shojo manga. There was a point in the middle where I started thinking I'd read this story somewhere before. It actually reminded me a lot of Marmalade Boy- boy and girl forced to live together, cr... moreazy parents, and Naoki looks a lot like Yuu. There were a few places in the story where Kotoko could've given Naoki a good kick in the pants, but whatever....
review 2: Another adorable cute manga~Sadly I'll never know the ending in manga, as the mangka died before she could finish the manga, but she told her husband how it was supposed to end, so what we see in the anime is how she wanted to end it.May she rest in peace. The manga follows the life of Aihara Kotoko who is head over heals for Irie Naoki. She is cute, cheerful and a little stupid, while he is the cold genius who never shown any feelings for her (though they start to develop as they grow closer)The drawing is so-so but she certainly makes it up with a cute and interesting storyline. He thanks to kotoko, starts to think to have a dream of his own (to become a doctor), while she little by little starts to develop her own character instead of just following him around. The side characters are so cute too, their families are just adorable. the friends too (though the Matsumoto or whatever sisters really got on my nerves), but I really loved Kin Chan, I hope in the anime he'll find love, instead of waiting for Kotoko (I only read the manga, I only started today to watch the anime, so I have no idea what happens after Irie's dad in a critical condition and he decided to take care of the company and abandon his dream to become a doctor!)~ a cliffhanger! This has to one of the best shoujo mangas ever, but Kotoko's character at times really managed to annoy me, luckily she started to build a character of her own in later chapters, because she is way too clingy and dependent on Naoki. Anyway, though the manga will never be completed, it's really recommended, and you can just watch the anime to know how will it end. :) less

This series is so cute. I love the Korean t.v. series as well.

I love that the book differed from the k-drama.
