review 1: I might've liked the story more had it not be a P&P fanfiction. The characters are nothing like the originals. The writing, at times, is awkward and cringe-worthy. And, my gosh, it seems like Elizabeth and Darcy are forever screaming throughout the story with all them exclamation marks. I can see the original Darcy apologizing but saying "I'm sorry!"??? The author should've tweaked the story like E.L James and other Fanfiction-Turned-Writers, and turned this into an original story for publishing instead of butchering the P&P that I so very much love.
review 2: Loved the take on this book. Kara Louise does an excellent job of "what if" in her stories. They are very true to the characters of the the original book, Pride and Prejudice. In this take, the main chara... morecters end up sailing on a ship together and due to unforseen circumstances are forced to marry secretly with the understanding that they will dissolve the marriage quietly later. Both characters fall in love with each other, however, they do not tell each other. This leads to much romantic tension! less
