review 1: I'm not usually one for contemporary romances, as I generally find them trite and tired, but this one drew me in with the premise of a haunted house, which is more my speed. Overall, I thought it was a good read. The characters of Blake and Mallory were likable, if a bit predictable at times. Lonnie was a bit two-dimensional and didn't seem very real-life; the same goes for Jim.There were a few places where the scenes seemed rushed, or like parts of the story were missing; in a couple pivotal scenes, I thought the author could have expanded the action a bit to give them the weight they should have had.I did enjoy the back story with Shannon Lewis, and I enjoyed her ghostly interactions with different people who came into the house. However, there were a few of the haunting... more scenes that were just too "out there" to fit well into the story, and they served more as comedy than as a haunting.
review 2: In Love with a Haunted House by Kate Goldman was sweet and funny. Mallory and Blake have an instant attraction. When Shannon passes away, she refuses to leave the house until her love’s spirit finds its way back to her. This makes for some funny episodes when the “house” decides it doesn’t like who enters it. I give this book 4 stars for being so entertaining. I loved the story line. My only problem with the story was the grammatical errors. They did not take away from the story, just made some sentences hard to interpret. Overall, it was a very good story. less

So bad. Skipped to the end to see what happened. Nothing, boring. Deleted from my Kindle.
