review 1: 1. Nothing that happens between two people is guaranteed to be private. 2. People don't always tell you the truth about how they feel. Those are just a couple of the things Livia learns about love. She learns a few more on a month-long trip to visit her brother at Princeton. She meets up with Jeff's mate Adam, from back home -- England -- and falls into it. Love, that is.Yes, there's some awkward moments: Just how, exactly do you tell your crush that you're in remission from leukemia? Or even, just that your hands are sweaty?Adam finds out, eventually, about Livia's leukemia but really, there's not a lot he can do about that. Just be glad they found each other, I guess.I liked the way that this novel is set up as a series of blog posts. Makes the story seem more immediate, ... morethough sometimes the drama can be a little overwhelming.
review 2: I was so into this story that I didn't notice it's about to end. Really, I was expecting more from Livia and Adam's story. More moments shared together and their relationship to go deeper. But...ugh. That's just how the story goes. then...ting!It ended suddenly. I was kinda disappointed and sorry for Adam. :(That was not how I picture its ending. Though Livia's condition is laid, the timing of its ending is saddening. Anyway, despite of the surprise unexpected ending that I get, I got too involved that I wasn't aware of my tears rolling down my face. So there, because I'm too caught up on it, I rate this four stars. less
