review 1: I really enjoyed this book. It was nice not knowing what each story was going to be about until you read them. There were a few stories I didn't enjoy but overall I enjoyed most of them - there is about 16 or so to read. The ones I didn't enjoy tended to be written in about three pages, maybe the content was too small for me? It was also good reading about how the stories came about as when reading a general novel you don't know the readers thoughts and experiences which went into developing a book unless you do some background reading. Overall, the book encompassed a lot of well written and thought out stories, I bet some of them could easily be developed into whole novels themselves.
review 2: Erg mooie sfeervolle verhalen die zich (bijna allemaal) afspelen i... moren Engeland. Voor wie van spookachtige, maar sfeervolle verhalen houdt is dit boek een must ! Geen boek om écht te griezelen of 's nachts met het licht aan te slapen, de verhalen zijn eerder mysterieus en romantisch. Ik vind Kate Mosse (niet te verwarren met het topmodel) in ieder geval een ontdekking en wil zeker meer van haar lezen ! less
