review 1: If you want to read something that will lead to waterworks then you have come to the right place. Having said that there is much more to this book than long bouts of tear shedding. This book tells us the story of Callum and Lilah. How they met and how they fell in love. But, more importantly how they got to know one another and learn that sometimes you have to let go and appreciate life for what it is. You have to live in the moment, because at the end that is all that is left the little moments that we spend together and get to cherish one another. For some like Lilah, living your life to the fullest knowing full well that it may not last long is what keeps you going. And for others like Callum, spending precious moments with the one you love knowing that they will... more not be there forever is what propels you to keep your head up high and take life as it comes, because before long it will only be memories. The story is told from two perspectives: Callum's and Lilah's. Lilah's part is told through her journal entries. We learn about her hopes, her fears and her dreams. Through Callum's narrative we learn about how he falls in love with a bright, opinionated and stubborn lady and how despite the short time they were together. He learnt to love someone beyond what he thought he was capable of. Me Without You may be a sad story; however, it worth reading. It is well written and makes one appreciate that we should live our lives to the fullest.
review 2: *I was sent a copy of this book for an honest review*This book for me was a mixed bag. The characters were great I really enjoyed the first time they met and how they both kept each other in check. I think the start of this book was lovely and the romance they have is made of the stuff some people only dream of. What I struggled with was the middle of the story as it was hard to see where it was going as it felt as if it was not going anywhere in parts. The end however was sad, sweet and romantic, it was perfect for the story and just shows how much a person can touch your life no matter how much time you have with them. less
